Debate Box - Challenges of Implementing a Circular Economy are the Same in Developed and Developing Countries
18/11/2015
Description
In June this year, the Ellen MacArthur Foundation ran a summer school with 18 students and their mentors from universities around the world in a programme called the Schmidt-MacArthur Fellowship. During the week-long programme, participants explored the circular economy in depth. One of the sessions we ran was called Debate Box. This was an opportunity for two students to debate in favour of a provocative statement while two others debate against. Hear the points argued in this series, and then join in the debate yourself on this webpage. This debate: The Challenges of Implementing a Circular Economy are the Same in Developed and Developing Countries Students arguing for: Norah Lewis (Imperial College London) and Educardo Aguinaga (Tecnologico de Monterrey) Students arguing against: William Meadows (Stanford University) and Giacomo Lucchese Sergi (Politecnico di Milano)
