My Maasai community are people who have unique characteristics compared to other communities in Africa and the world at large. In the past it was compulsory for the Moran/maasai warriors to kill a lion to be considered as a hero.
But those traditions and customs were not good that is why they have now stopped hunting lions.
Currently the Maasai in various zoos in Tanzania and Kenya are teaming up with game rangers to protect wildlife against poachers, they are not hunters anymore, they are guardians to lions. (USAID Tanzania, Dec 2020).
Congratulations Maasai community for the change...
