COVID-19 Vaccines efficacy and allocation to Africa

Dr. Michael Ryan states that three of the vaccines have demonstrated efficacy in the trial so far.

However, the data has yet to reach WHO to make decisions about emergency use, listings and other things.

There is a COVAX initiative that is working for global equitable access to COVID-19 vaccines. According to Dr. Michael Ryan, this initiative will ensure that 80% of the world population and vast majority of the African population is covered.
