Mysterious stories of Global Warming: Tanzania.
It was September 2021 Kilimanjaro Tanzania, where local people from Rombo district noticed the underground fire burning the upper crust of the land.
Investigation done by geologists and discovered that the fire caused by the hot rocks with highest temperature under the ground due to long seasonal droughts.
Fires are just one piece of a multi-part climate feedback system — all of which are worsening, fueling more rapid climate change. Increased global emissions lead to higher temperatures, which then create drier, more fire-prone conditions. With more fires comes more emissions, perpetuating the entire cycle.
Climate change increases the risk of the hot, dry weather that is likely to fuel wildfires. Dr Prichard says: "Extreme fire weather events including increased lightning and strong winds, are also becoming more common under climate change."
REALLY IT IS TIME TO STOP BLAH BLAH AND LEAD THE WAY INTO ACTION.
