EVER HEARD OF GREEN BIRTHDAYS?
Every time one is celebrating their birthday, they always want it to be super great, full of fun, gifts and cakes. But how about marking it by planting a tree or trees equal to your age?
#Birthdaytrees has so far grown wide and far from the Trees For Healthy Communities here in Kenya which houses the project Trees For Birthdays Initiative where we have managed to plant and transform some green spaces by celebrating birthdays monthly through planting trees.
We can also see the same #birthdaytrees initiative with our close neighbours Uganda under the young Environmental Activist Leah Namugerwa where she plants trees with her friends equal to the age that the person turns or more as a gift to them.
This initiative is a very great remedy to Climate crisis and helps in increasing forest cover. Since birthdays happen everyday.
Make sure you plant and grow a tree during your birthday date.
