Effects of technological change
With the era of technological advancement taking the spotlight, many middle skilled workers are finding themselves unemployed. Technology has made it easier to program tasks that are repetitive in nature and eliminate the need for human labour or error. For example in the assmbly line human labour has increasingly been replaced with machines.
What this does is create a productive an more fruitful economic life for those highly educated as they lose nothing and keeps those less educated unemployed or working numerous hard labour jobs in the service or construction industry to have a livable wage.
As much as technological advancement has created new innovation and growth we need to look at the effects it has caused.
