The problem of illiteracy.
Since the dawn of time verbal communication has been used by humans to communicate, the came drawing and phonetics as displayed by the ancient Egyptians to preserve their culture.
Not long ago only a few people could read and that was fine by them because they had a way to control the masses as illiteracy has been used as a tool of oppression for thousands of years and that has not changed much in recent years.
More and more people are advocating for the right to education especially for women and girls. What circumstances and enable such to happen? Peace perhaps, gender equality, mitigation of poverty just but to mention a few.
In order to combat illiteracy different aspects of society need to work in partnership to ensure aspects such as gender parity are upheld in order to promote literacy and education.
