Implicit bias in healthcare for minorities
The healthcare system is one of the systems directly affected by bias, inequalities and misinformation.
Minorities especially in a diverse setting have always been the brunt of society, in that they receive the bare minimum when it comes to health, education , housing etc. A lot of this is systemic for example policies that were put in place and are still in place that are less than favorable and the the systems that are needed to help being built around those very policies.
Misinformation and bias also play a huge role in the health care system for example administration of medicine, pleas for help etc.
In order for these to change the breakdown of these prejudicial systems needs to be undertaken and new all inclusive policies implemented.
