What comes to your mind when you hear of "Coherence"?
In our current state as a nation and a world generally we are all facing the climate crisis and are being affected to core. A good example is the Covid-19 Pandemic, this has really brought to our attention that a pandemic can really bring a very huge problem to the ecosystem and the human life.
In Nexus one of the speakers highlights on how the Public sector and the private sector have to respond properly concerning the policies towards building back better for the environment, which is well applicable in Africa and all other continents.
This two sectors have to come together and be logical about the policies set apart in the restoration of the environmental sector. This being :
a) Taxing Policies
b) Financial Policies
c) Regulatory policies
d) Research and Development policies.
e) E.t.c
The speaker also highlighted on some manageable ideas that are applicable in building back better. This include:-
i) Building substitutes in construction materials by using recycled plastics
ii) Nitro-fitting in turning combustion vehicles to Electric vehicles.
This are just but a few examples which are very applicable only if there is enabling of the policies and regulations set a side for sustainable development.
