One day to Biodiversity Day: Why we need it?
Biodiversity is the key indicator of the health of an ecosystem. A wide variety of species will cope better with threats than a limited number of them in large populations. Even if certain species are affected by pollution, climate change or human activities, the ecosystem as a whole may adapt and survive.
WHY WE NEED? Here is why:
1. Increase ecosystem productivity; each species in an ecosystem has a specific niche—a role to play.
2. Support a larger number of plant species and, therefore, a greater variety of crops.
3. Protect freshwater resources.
4. Promote soils formation and protection.
5. Provide for nutrient storage and recycling.
We are the part to conserve biodiversity, without it there is no life.

I myself believe that with a protected biodiversity then the latter of it is a super well lived life minus all the disasters as per your chop.
