Gender inequality in education

Gender inequality in education has come a long way compared to a decade or two ago. This however does not mean that inequality in education is no longer there. There is still a huge gap between female and male education.

Factors that contribute to this inequality include bias gender stereotypes such as the role of girls is taking care of the house and having children, poverty and war.

Girls face a lot more hurdles in getting an education than their counterparts but we can change that. One way is by community engagement and the deconstruction of gender biases and norms in the societies we live in.
