Happy Mother's (EARTH) Day
Dear mother Earth,
Sorry for the trees we cut for firewood & infrastructure then call it development
Sorry for the killing our brother animals for our own selfish gains
We've thrown plastic to the oceans and our own are dying yet we think we are thriving
Sorry for being so mean and now we are slowly paying the price
The price in form of climate change, for failing to act and nurture you
Our hearts hurt that we no longer take clean flowing water from our rivers
We don't know the planting season because we've messed up with seasons
We don't know how to dress up because the weather is unpredictable
So mother earth with our hearts full of anguish we are back
We are in a green war
The battlefield is here for us to fight for you
To pay tribute to you for being a good mother and to nurture you
It's your time to thrive dear mother, please rest your green daughters and sons are now in the battlefield
Happy mother's day to our exhausted mother yet accommodates all of us that throw litter , cut trees, grab natural resources,poach animals and do everything to sacrifice our common mother ✌
