Inequalities revealed by the pandemic
Although the covid-19 virus does not pick and choose, those who are affected more are the poor disadvantaged people. The loss of jobs and a steady income has caused massive inequalities in the societies we live in, with the well off affording to live through the pandemic while the poor and low income households wondering what is next for them as they have no steady food supply or wages.
The lessons that the pandemic has taught us and is continuing to teach us is that natural disasters and pandemics reveal the weak points or lack of proper working policies in our societies. Moving forward policies and measures need to be implemented to help curb and handle future occurrences in a better way benefiting the people of individual countries instead of harming them.
