ONE HEALTH : A MULTISECTORAL APPROACH AIMED AT SOLVING AFRICA'S COMPLEX HEALTH CHALLENGES

The One Health approach is a multisectoral approach involving professionals from different fields of Human health ( medical doctors, pharmacists, nurses, lab technologists, public health professionals), animal health professionals ( veterinary doctors, wild life scientists, animal livestock scientists), ecologists, environmental health professionals, media personnel, social scientists among others. These work together at local, regional and global levels to solve complex One health Challenges. Some of these include diseases like Ebola, Rift valley fever, Congo Hemorrhagic fever,marbug, COVID-19 and other phenomenons like Antimicrobial Resistance resistance.
