Frog's day - Forgotten species.
March 20 marks World Frog Day, an annual observance of the tailless amphibian. It was created in 2009 with the intention to save many different species of frogs from going extinct. In the past decade, approximately 170 species of frogs have vanished due to human activity and fungal infections.
You might not personally care for these the croakers (who are also predators), but they play a crucial role in maintaining the environment.
In Tanzania we have the so called Kihansi Frogs which are the typical unique frogs found only in Tanzania. The frogs act as tourism attraction and contribute GNP to nation's income used to construct development projects.Therefore there is a need to preserve and kept them as other wildlife.
