Soil resources, biodiversity and environmental conservation.
Soils represent a significant reservoir of biological diversity that underpins a broad range of key processes and moderate ecosystem service provision. Our understanding of the role that soil organisms play in ecosystems is still developing, but the increased investigation into biodiversity-ecosystem functioning relationships in soils over the past couple of decades has provided insights that have greatly enhanced our ability to sustainably manage soil biodiversity (USDA 2018).
The suistainable use of the soil resources enhance development of agriculture which facilitate the proper health conditions to the people and maintaining the good soil conditions which influence inhabitants of the microorganisms found in the soil.
The agricultural sectors should discourage monoculture systems of agriculture, cutting down trees and the use of agro-chemicals which destuct the soil resources.
