Terrible drought ever.
Failed rains across eastern Africa, southern Africa, and the Horn of Africa are seeing another dire season for farmers, increasing food prices and driving up the aid needs of tens of millions of already vulnerable people across the three regions.
Many farmers have been struggling to find water and fodder for their livestock. Some are forced to sell as many of their livestock as soon possible to avoid further losses, (BBC, 2019).
For instance, in Tanzania we had experienced the monster drought ever in 2017. Across Mbuga za Umasaini there was a huge loss of their cattles, they failed to search water and pasture for them. This was a terrible drought ever in 21st century, (ITV, 2017).
WHAT TO BE DONE??
All happened because of climatic variation and climatic change. From local level to global level we should hold our hands together, a politics, a farmer, a student, a scientist, a business man, a fisher and each of us to start making peace with nature.
We won't achieve anything if there is no networking cooperation. We should start by making reforestation as an initial approach. Wake up Africa, wake up Africa.
