#fundingclimateaction
The Green Climate Fund (GCF) was formed under the United Nations Framework Convection on Climate Change (UNFCCC) with the main aim to assist developing countries to mitigate and adapt to climate change. It focuses on five main sectors of Human Security, Livelihoods and well being, Built environment, Energy and industry as well as Land use, forests and eco systems
GCF mode of approach include funding climate innovations, mainstreaming climate risks and opportunities in decision making aligning finance with sustainable development.
Although Climate Change has negative effects, it provides an opportunity for institutions to explore sustainable solutions to protect Earth.
