Climate Change and Gender

#Women vs Climate Change#
SDG 2 SDG 5 SDG 13

COP22, Marrakech, Morocco, on 7–18 November 2016.
The experts in climate change and gender matters brings into lime light on how climate change have disproportionate impacts on the vulnerable community i.e. women and children. At one point, the speaker admits that climate makes life very complicated, in fact, it is a matter of life and death. Mary Robinson a climate justice at her foundation alludes that climate change and gender are very important due to their severity. The impacts is very crucial based on the differential roles of men and women in the society. It undermines poor livelihoods, food security etc. During these hard times, its women who have to put food in the table, they have to trek miles away to fetch water for household consumption.
A sad moment is when it floods and women die easily because they are never taught how to swim in flooding, ravaging waters.
It is a sad moment on how climate change impacts disproportionately hits hard on women.

Climate change impacts negatively to women more than men because they are more vulnerable, hence gender inequality. This causes hunger due to loss of livelihoods.
