Restoration and protection of forests as a solution to climate change.

Forests are stabilising force for climate. They regulate ecosystem, protect biodervisity and play an important role in carbon cycle.
Forests act as both causd and solution to greenhouse gas emissions. About 12% of global emissions come from deforestation and forest degradation.
Forest also offer solution to adressing effects of climate change. Approximately one third of carbon released from burning fossil fuels is absorbed by forests every year.
There is therefore need to work together to restore and protect our forests.
Digital engagement platforms such as uplink bring together diverse people and allow their participation and collaboration in meeting the sustainable development goals
