In the Republic of Korea, the government has taken women's public participation a step further. This has contributed to major rises in the number of women in the South Korean National Assembly over the last 20 years. Women's representation in all public bodies is not less than 20%. Has the representation of women in South Korea reflected the changing gender norms in the country?
Dr. Sengeh also highlighted the vital position of the Male Engagement Strategy. He points out the need for "male role models" to support the changing of gender norms in the world.
Also, how do we make sure that women are involved in the decision-making phase of the Covid-19? How about the role of education in the transformation of the GBV, gender roles and the re-victimization of women?
