The first Global Refugee Forum takes place December 16 -18 in Geneva. UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, and the Government of Switzerland will jointly host this meeting at the Palais des Nations. The conference will be attended by global leaders and ministers as well as partners from civil society, the private sector and other UN entities. It will focus on: burden-sharing, education, livelihoods, energy and infrastructure, solutions and protection capacity.

The International Geneva public debates at the Swiss Press Club benefit from the support of the Geneva Republic and Canton and are relayed by the Swiss Mission to UNOG. They focus on different aspects of hot topic news, thanks to the expertise of journalists, diplomats, high representatives of international organizations and NGOS, Swiss authorities and other local actors. The participants are invited to a cocktail at the end of the event.
